5 Common Mistakes on your Job Application

When you fill out this application, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re doing everything right. One little mistake can screw up your chances of applying for the job!

By following these tips, and avoiding these mistakes, you’re going to find there’s a good chance that you can make your application look a lot better!

#1 Watch the spelling – Be sure to look at the spelling. You’re going to want to make sure that everything is spelled right. If it isn’t, employers will frown upon this.

#2 Be honest – Don’t lie about your criminal history, or about your job history. You will find that many companies will do background checks on you. If you lie, you’re going to be out!

#3 Fill it out 100% – Be sure to look it over a few times, as you will find that you may miss a section that needs to be filled out. If you’re going to have a paper application, flip it over to see if there is a back side. Many people will forget about this part.

#4 Correct information – Make sure that your information is correct. One little number or smear will mean that they can’t contact you. If you don’t know something, research it first, before you leave it blank.

#5 Be neat – Write in a nice manner, and be sure that it’s clearly put. You want to make sure that everything is legible. Don’t use white out, and don’t scribble! This is the worst thing that you can potentially do.
