Investing in Gold

Gold, which chemical properties is “inert”, is not easy to react with other chemical elements. Shiny gold will remain shiny even after buried for a long time under the ground or on the ocean floor.
Gold has uses in various industries. But its main use is as jewelry and tools trade transactions or currency, both are means of hedging. Gold or gold coins has been used as currency for over 5000 years ago.
Gold got a very high value in all cultures in the world, even in the form of raw ones or in the form of a bullion.
Gold is often referred to as the “barometer of fear”. By the time the people concerned with the economic situation, they tend to buy gold to protect the values of their properties. Two kinds of economic situations that often makes people worry is inflation and deflation. Gold has been proven as a means of storing wealth that bear with both the inflation and deflation.
We can see that the value of gold was not affected by changes in the economic situation for more than 14 centuries compared to the other things that we usually use as an investment. Gold has a limited supply and is not easily available. The demand for gold has never reduced, instead, the price of gold tends to increase from year to year.
