Know the odds. Not all sites offer the same odds for your team to win the big match. Learn as much as you can about odds and how they are calculated and go with the site that offers you the highest payback for your bet. It might not seem like a lot but the difference between one site and the next could be huge.
Follow your gut when betting on football. If you like what you have seen from the underdog in recent matches go with them. If you choose the underdog and they win the match your winnings will be much higher than if you choose the team with the best odds. Also remember to check the injury list for the teams playing. If the key defender is out with a knee injury it could throw the whole team off.
